Tooth Extraction

Tooth Extraction

No one wants to lose a tooth but sometimes extraction is the only answer to relieve your pain or to make space in an overcrowded jaw. Teeth normally need removing after tooth decay, periodontal disease or dental trauma.

Removing or extracting a tooth may sound painful but at the Dental Suite we administer local anaesthetics to remove all sensations around the immediate teeth. Whilst you may experience some tingling whilst the anaesthetic wears off you will not experience any discomfort, and will be comfortable throughout.

Some minor bleeding is expected to occur and is a sign of healthy gums, but this will quickly stop.

Tooth extraction is a standard procedure taught at all dental schools and should not be feared by patients. Extracting a tooth can be the solution to many long-time sufferers.
